Tell us a little about you…
Just a little about me, Sydni Dorman – I’ve worked full time since I graduated high school. I’m pursuing a bachelor in accounting and in any of my free time you can find me crossfitting. I absolutely love working out, training and just taking care of myself health and physically.
How long have you been crossfitting?
I have been doing Crossfit for a little over 2 years now. I have always been athletic and after high school, I did an NPC show. I spent 12 weeks on a harsh diet and rigorous training program and after my show, I realized that just wasn't for me. It wasn't but weeks later, I found myself in a Crossfit box. The one that I am still part of today, proudly. I competed just two months into that sport, with such little experience but I was ready to get my feet wet!
Seems like you have a pretty busy schedule, when do you find time to train and compete?
I don’t just have time for CrossFit, I make time. I think that's the difference. I workout 5-6 times a week (with 2 of those days being two-a-days consisting of an AM and a PM session). I am determined. I have the will to push when it hurts. I am never satisfied with an "okay" performance, and I always think there is room for improvement. I like to attack my weakness and work at them hard because let’s face it - who likes weakness'?
What type of role model do you aspire to be?
I also like to represent STRONG women. I think it is so important, especially having a little sister, those little girls look up to me for my drive and my strength, I want younger and older females to know - it's cool to be strong, it's actually REALLY cool to be strong. To not let the media or the naysayers beat the strong woman down - with comments like "it looks manly" or "they can lift more than their boyfriend". It's just another flame behind the fire I bring to keep up the hard work.
Why do you choose to represent our company and our products?
I want to partner with a company that utilizes natural ingredients as I would like to fuel my body with the best. I also want to make it a point to use the same line for the majority of my supplements. I feel confident to put these supplements in my body and to use them for my training. I especially like the Elitrope (nootropic) because it helps me focus and clarity to manage my busy lifestyle in addition to training. I want to be great and healthy now, but I also want to be healthy in the years to come so it is so important to me to take care of myself now so that I can ensure an even better future for myself.
What do you love about CrossFit most?
I am not afraid of hard work and I am willing to do the best that I can to become the best that I can. I truly, truly do enjoy Crossfit, the adrenaline rush, and just overall taking care of myself health wise. It’s my happy place, it’s my sanity, it’s my community. I love it.
