Tell us a little about you…
I’m a CrossFit athlete and a farmer. I have a lot of long days with the farm and training for the CrossFit Games championships which makes nutrition and recovery even more important and using high quality supplements from Swolverine really helps me get the most out of training and recovery.
Where did your fitness/athletic journey begin?
I wrestled and played football in high school then took up CrossFit my first year in college. I quickly developed a deep passion for fitness and have been training ever since.
What’s your favorite part about your sport?
I love the discipline that CrossFit takes to compete. From training intensity and volume to nutrition and sleep, this sport is all about your self control.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I read an outrageous number of books and audio books. In 2020 I finished over 90 books.
What’d your favorite kind of dessert?
I really like something chocolatey with some ice cream.
What’s been your most memorable time as an athlete?
Qualifying for my first CrossFit Games as an individual with 2 event wins at my semifinal event.
What have been some trying times in your athletic career and what have they taught you?
Missing out of qualifying for the CrossFit Games as an individual after competing their on a team the year before. Sitting at home watching the Championships was hard but motivated a lot because I didn’t want to experience those feelings again the next year.
Tell us a little about your accolades
I was in the Trials, an international CrossFit competition. Placed 9th at the Rogue Invitational in 2020. Placed 5th at the Granite Games Semifinal competition. I have 2 CrossFit Games appearances, one from a team and my first individual this season.
What does your diet/nutrition look like? Any advice to others on things that you've had to learn the hard way in this are of your health and fitness?
I eat nearly all whole/natural foods aside from some carbohydrate/protein supplementing to maintain a proficient calorie intake. I eat a lot of meat and animal fats along with potatoes and rice to meet a balanced macronutrient diet that fuels my body for performing and recovery. Think of food as a fuel for your lifestyle and eat what makes your body feel good and perform the way you want it to.
Tell us a little about your training regimen - do you follow specific training program(s), coaching/coaches, etc.? How do you prioritize your training over other aspects of life to reach this level of competitiveness?
I follow the Kilotrained programming along with some of my own personal programming. I devote a lot of my life to training and recovery. Once I’m done at the farm I train for several hours then spend one to two hours on recovery work. I don’t have a lot of other distractions in my life and that allows me to focus a lot of time on doing what I like and focus on getting better.
What’s the biggest piece of advice that you’ve been given, that’s made an impact on you as an individual, that you wish to share with others for their journey?
Find your passion and chase it. Take some chances and believe in yourself. Put in the work.

What are your favorite products to use from Swolverine?
Sleep is a huge thing for me. For recovery after a hard day of training and to energize me for the next day. Because of this, I really like the ZMT sleep product. It helps improve your quality of sleep and if I had to choose just one product, it would probably be this.
