How To Make Baked Turkey Meatballs
Making this recipe is so easy it may become a staple go-to for your busy weeks. They’re a nice way to stay on track while feeling like you’re not missing out on something delightful and savory. A few tips on making your baked turkey meatballs all starts with the way you mix together the ingredients.
We recommend mixing all of the powder ingredients together so that they’re evenly dispersed before adding them to the wet ingredients and the turkey. Make sure not to over-mix the ingredients — you’ll want everything to be evenly incorporated, but you definitely don’t want your mix to be mushy. Using your hands (so as long as you’ve scrubbed them clean!) is the easiest way to get the texture you desire.
When The Baked Turkey Meatballs Are Completely Cooked
The easiest way to know when your keto baked turkey meatballs are done is by sticking a meat thermometer in them and it reads back 160 degrees F. The centers can be slightly pink, but the juice should run clear from the meatball. Try not to bake them too long though, as this will cause them to dry out.
Things to avoid:
- Overbaking
- Not using 93% lean turkey
- Forgetting the eggs
