Who is Grace Walton?

I’m from Perth, Australia. I’m a CrossFit athlete that used to be a swimmer.

Where Did Your Fitness Journey Begin? How Did You Get Here?

Covid actually made me come home from backpacking in Europe and that's how I discovered CrossFit. I decided 6 months later to take training seriously and it progressed well and here we are!

What have you achieved in your sport thus far?

I finished 6th at the Torian pro in 2023 and 3rd at Down Under Championship in December. I have also completed the Rottnest channel swim which is a 20km swim from Perth to Rottnest island.

What is your favorite part about your sport?

I love that it showcases so many different movements and skills. I think it’s so cool to be able to work on so many different things at once. I think that working on so many things at once helps with life skills and then it creates a circle where it helps my CrossFit.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I have horners syndrome where only one of my eyes can dilate

What's your favorite cheat or refeed meal?

I do love a good icecream sandwich

What has been your most memorable time as an athlete thus far?

I don’t have one specific moment but competing with so many like minded athletes is pretty cool.

Tell us about some defining moments and what they have taught you

When something doesn’t turn out your way right now, it’ll probably turn out better later on if you stay consistent and patient.

What's your diet look like and a day in the Grace Walton Kitchen

My diet mainly focuses on hitting my protein goal for recovery and also making sure the supplements I take fill out anything that I may be missing in my diet.

What's the best advice you can give someone or that has the most impact on you 

When it hurts the most is when it counts.

What are some of your goals for the year

This year I want to qualify for the CrossFit games
