Tell us a little about you…
Well, my name is Lissy Ditcher, I’ve been crossfitting for about five years now, and I absolutely love this sport! I’m a CF1 certified coach in addition to being a CrossFit Gymnastics certified coach. I spend a ton of time in the gym, but I also understand the importance of having balance. If I’m not training, I’m coaching. If I’m not coaching, I’m enjoying the beautiful Florida sunshine and hanging out with my girls!
In addition to sports supplements, you also take vitamins. Why do you believe that they’re important?
Aside from the scientific backing that vitamins are good for you, I supplement with both because I believe it’s what is right for my goals, my body, and my lifestyle. Supplements shouldn’t replace your nutrition, but they should be a compliment to your nutrition. Due to my intense training and coaching schedules, it’s important for me to get all the nutrients I need between classes and sessions, as well as recover properly.
What products do you use regularly?
I take kre-alkalyn, probiotics, krill oil, vitamin d, ZMT, and a multivitamin. For recovery, I also supplement with glutamine and protein/BCAAs.
Can you tell us a little bit about what your goals within the sport look like?
My goal in this sport is to push myself as far as I can. Ultimately, I’d love to see myself earn a spot at Regionals whether as an individual or on a team.
How do you compliment your CrossFit training?
I do a lot of yoga, flexibility, and mobility work in my off hours. I think it’s extremely important to keep your body limber and ready to move, whenever and however. Not only does it help prevent injury from my training, but it’s a time for me to relax and mentally/emotionally reset. Additionally, I compete in Olympic Lifting meets throughout the year. I enjoy the competition and the challenge that Oly lifting presents me.
How does yoga fit into your CrossFit training?
Do you have a life motto?
I never quit. Ever. You’ll never see me throw in the towel early or walk out when a job or a task isn’t done. On top of not quitting, I do things right. No matter how hard or how challenging they may be, I finish and I finish things well. Always! I live a 24/7 healthy lifestyle and I work hard every single day. I’ve dedicated my entire life to not only be the very best athlete I can possibly be, but to be a great coach, mentor, and role model to everyone that steps foot in our gym!
